Ahh, Joe Jacari is back at it again! Here are his latest words of wisdom – I must say, I couldn’t have said it better myself:
Well, the mills of justice gind slowly…but they do grind fine!
Nice to see even Troon country club estates is getting hammered with price declines not seen since…gawd knows when.
Yeah. BMW is hauling ass outta’ here. Too fricken’ funny!
Ha, ha! I’m just going to sit outside, sipping a $5 Frapuccino in Kierland, and watch all the rats scramble as the repo guys heist back the Beemers dudes and dudettes could never really afford. Read more
Even the BMW dealer is leaving Scottsdale!
March 4, 2009 by Frank · 17 Comments
Man, you can’t make this stuff up. Even the BMW dealer, the bastion of phony wannabe $30k millionaires who lease 330i’s for $399/month in their attempts to trick you into believing they’re six-figure hotshots, is bailing out of Scottsdale!
Will there be anyone left other than white trash, tweekers, two-strikers fleeing from California, and illegals!
Is Scottsdale the new “909″? Wait a minute, the 909 has always been a step above the 480. Never mind.
As if it’s not funny enough to see purveyors of the $30k millionaire lifestyle bailing out, what’s even funnier is how much sales tax revenue the slimy corrupt City of Scottsdale stands to lose! Word came this week that they’re going to lay off hundreds of teachers due to lack of funds. Read more
Phoenix makes “America’s Emptiest Cities” list
March 4, 2009 by Frank · 3 Comments
Yep, it’s official. The Valley is becoming a new ghost town, with a vacancy rate of 19%.
The Forbes list officially calls the area Phoenix/Mesa/Scottsdale. Topping the list at #1 is scum-town Las Vegas, Nevada. Although having lived in both places, I can say with confidence that Scottsdale has far more shysters and con men than Las Vegas ever will!
The Cameras Are Coming Down
February 23, 2009 by Frank · 3 Comments
Day after day, while living in Scottsdale, I got furious at how the lazy, complacent people just sat back and took the abuse of photo radar, which is an invalid system that violates both the Sixth Amendment and, in most cases, the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure.
After leaving Arizona and moving to a state where both a superior court judge and the state legislature banned photo radar to different degrees, I still could not understand why not only Scottsdale residents tolerated the Commie Cameras, but the entire state as well as they spread like roaches.
Well, someone has finally begun to do something about it. And the cameras are coming down. Read more
Helloooooo! Some thoughts, and the W Hotel bankruptcy
February 10, 2009 by Frank · 9 Comments
Hello all,
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted. As I’ve previously mentioned, I’m over Scottsdale having escaped there two years ago this month. When you’re not surrounded by rude, obnoxious, fake, disgusting, petty Scottsdale people all day long, you just lose the motivation to rail against it online.
Having said that…
The most amusing story I’ve seen recently is the announcement that the W Hotel in Scottsdale has filed for bankruptcy. Well, what the hell did they expect? We all know that nobody in Scottsdale can afford to party there (not anymore, now that the housing ATM is over). And we all know that nobody who can afford to stay in a W with their overpriced rooms actually vacations in Scottsdale. They go to Vegas, SoCal, Hawaii, etc. Read more
Scottsdale: Ghetto Central
January 5, 2009 by Frank · 5 Comments
It’s been a while since I’ve looked at the headlines on the Scottsdale page over at AZCentral.com. Quite honestly it’s because I really don’t care anymore. But, it’s good for a laugh once in a while to see what kind of violent crime was perpetrated over the weekend in the “affluent, upscale” city.
Sure enough, here’s what I was greeted with:
- Shooting outside Myst nightclub
- Armed bank robbery
- Carjacking
Yep, nice “upscale, affluent” town you have there, Scottsdale. Read more
Arizona – America’s Worst Police State?
December 29, 2008 by Frank · 12 Comments
I was resting today on a break from entertaining visiting family who are here now, and thought I’d take a look at the headlines on AZCentral.com. The top stories read like this:
“Speed Cameras Go Live On US 60″
“DUI Task Force Nets Over 2,000 Arrests”
And on and on.
In the comments beneath each article where the now-typical Arizona residents saying “If it saves one life it’s not worth it.” “If you don’t want tickets then don’t speed.” “Anyone who drinks and drives should get life in prison.” Read more
South Park: Scottsdale most miserable, horrible place
November 24, 2008 by Frank · 3 Comments
South Park gets it right – yet again! The show called Scottsdale the most horrible, miserable place.
From the AZCentral.com article:
The episode centered on the town’s Gothic teens, upset that no one can tell the difference between Goths and Vampires now that the bestselling bookTwilight has become a film and the elementary school’s preppy students are sporting black clothes and pointy false teeth.
In an attempt to stop the frustrating misconception, the Goths kidnap the “head vampire” and brainstorm what to do with him. They decide to Fed-Ex him somewhere.
A girl Goth says: “If we are gonna send him somewhere, it should be the most horrible, and miserable place on Earth.”
Pause.
“Scottsdale,” is the unanimous reply. Read more
City of Scottsdale: GOING BROKE!!!!!
November 3, 2008 by Frank · 18 Comments
Congratulations, City of Scottsdale, for getting what you deserve! The City is facing a massive revenue deficit of $35 million over the next 1-2 years – all in a relatively small suburb of Phoenix having only about 200,000 people (after you remove the skewed numbers of 85254 full of Phoenix residents stuck with a Scottsdale mailing address).
First we have the phony arrogant residents who went insane on credit this decade and now are all bankrupt, losing their McMansions to foreclosure, losing the Escalade and BMW to the repo man, etc. All these clowns are no longer going out to restaurants, bars, shopping, or buying/leasing cars. That’s a LOT of tax revenue to simply disappear. And let’s not forget the huge percentage of Scottsdale’s “rich” and “elite” who can’t afford their property taxes, let alone their mortgages. 4th Scottsdale Car Dealership Closes
October 7, 2008 by Frank · 26 Comments
Ahh, this couldn’t have been scripted any better. First the credit cards were maxed out, and no one could get a limit increase. Then the HELOC money dried up – you know, the money the Scottsdale “elite” have been living on all along – and things slowed even more. And then the no-down, no-income-verification, no-credit-check option-arm loans began to reset, and Scottsdale and it’s $39,150 median income just couldn’t pay anymore.
And now the car dealers are dropping like flies. Read more
