The Myth of Scottsdale “Wealth”

It’s happened again. A regular troll to this site posted a link to an article claiming Scottsdale is America’s 8th wealthiest city in the U.S.

After I challenged the validity of the survey for a number of reasons that I’ll get to in a moment, the troll wrote back with this statement: “I took the survey myself in 2006.”

Hmm, wait a minute here. We’re supposed to believe that Scottsdale is “wealthy” based on a survey that Scottsdale’s own residents – notorious for lying about their incomes and supposed wealth –  completed themselves?   Read more

Arizona #2 in foreclosures, after Nevada

No surprise here – according to this new article in the Phoenix Business Journal, Arizona ranks #2 in the nation behind only white-trash subprime Nevada in foreclosure filings.  

This, of course, is no big surprise to anyone who knows the facts about the fake Arizona – and especially Scottsdale – economy over the last 7-10 years.  

Arizona, and the Scottsdale area in particular, are full of people who “bought” homes on no-doc, no-money-down, no-credit-check toxic loans. They were thrilled to get in on an interest-only loan making small payments, but now that those payments are doubling and tripling, the Scottsdale phonies are getting thrown out on their asses, where they belong.   Read more
